How should I prepare for my appointment?
In the weeks before your appointment:
- Stop vitamin E, fish oil, and ginkgo biloba one week before.
- Avoid aspirin for two weeks before. If you take aspirin under a doctor's care, check with your physician first.
- Avoid antihistamines and anti-inflammatory medications for one week before, since your skin's natural healing response does the work.
- Stop laser hair removal, electrolysis, waxing, and hair-removal creams one week before.
- Stop topical retinoids such as tretinoin (Retin-A) one week before.
